Our Expansion Plans and Introduction of New Managing Director at NCBA Bank Tanzania

Mei 23, 2023

We recently hosted a gala dinner for our valued customers, where we announced our plans to expand into key economic sectors including FMCG, transportation, energy, and manufacturing. At NCBA Bank Tanzania, we recognize the critical role these sectors play in Tanzania’s growth and development, and we are committed to being a part of that growth.

Our Group Managing Director, John Gachora, spoke passionately about our expansion plans and reiterated our commitment to providing world-class financial services to our customers. During the same event, we were excited to introduce our new Managing Director and CEO, Claver Serumaga, who brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise to guide us into the future.

Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, we have continued to thrive, thanks to our launch of the NCBA brand in multiple markets and the expansion of our digital products, including M-Pawa. We are proud to have served nearly 7 million customers through this innovative platform, and we remain dedicated to providing financial services to the unbanked population.

During the gala dinner, we were honored to have Dr. Charles Mwamwaja, the Commissioner for Financial Sector Development at the Ministry of Finance and Planning, in attendance. He praised our vision for the future and our commitment to our customers and stakeholders, which was further evidenced by our recent injection of Sh40 billion in capital from group shareholders.

We believe that our expansion into these key economic sectors will drive growth and development in Tanzania’s economy, creating more opportunities for our customers and stakeholders. At NCBA Bank Tanzania, we remain dedicated to going greater together with our customers and stakeholders, and we are excited about the potential for growth and development in Tanzania.

We will continue to update you on our progress as we work to drive growth and development in Tanzania’s economy. Thank you for your continued support and trust in us.
