Mr. Alex Mziray

Mr. Mziray has been serving as Acting CEO, providing steady and decisive leadership through a pivotal transition period for the bank. Under his stewardship, the institution has sustained strategic focus, strengthened governance structures, and continued to build momentum toward long-term operational excellence. A distinguished banking professional, Mr. Mziray brings extensive experience across regional and local financial institutions. Prior to his acting role, he served as Executive Director of NCBA Bank Tanzania, where he championed enhancements in regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, and financial discipline. His earlier leadership positions at EXIM Bank Comoros and FNB Tanzania, including senior finance roles, further enriched his expertise in driving organizational transformation, building high-performing teams, and enabling sustainable business growth Mr. Mziray has played a central role in developing NCBA Tanzania’s new five-year strategic plan, anchoring the bank’s future on innovation, customer-centricity, digital transformation, and strengthened market positioning. His strategic insight and deep understanding of the Tanzanian financial landscape have been instrumental in charting a forward-looking agenda aligned with NCBA Group’s regional vision.
