NCBA Golf Series 2025 Tees Off in Tanzania

The NCBA Golf Series 2025 made its mark at the TPDF Lugalo Golf Club in Dar es Salaam, bringing together golfers, business leaders, policymakers, and partners for a day that blended sport, connection, and purpose. The tournament also marked the official launch of NCBA Bank Tanzania’s flagship campaign,Numbers That Matter – Maisha ni Hesabu.
More than 140 golfers took part in the event. Each stroke on the course was a reminder that decisions, whether in sport or finance, shape outcomes that go beyond the moment. This idea was at the heart of the day’s message.
Speaking at the event, Rahim Suleiman, Head of Global Markets at NCBA, explained that Maisha ni Hesabu reflects the way NCBA works with families, businesses, and communities. Every decision counts. Every number tells a story. That is how growth is built and how progress is measured.
Guest of Honour, Major General Wilbert Ibuge, highlighted NCBA’s role in uplifting sport, driving empowerment, and supporting sustainability. His remarks echoed the campaign’s vision of building a better future for Tanzania through intentional action and investment in people.
The Golf Series has grown over the years into a platform that is bigger than the game itself. It creates opportunities for youth and women to step into competitive golf. It gives business leaders space to network and exchange ideas. It also positions Tanzania as an important player in regional sport, with local talent preparing to take on the continent.
This year’s tournament closed with the crowning of three Tanzanian champions who will represent the country at the Grand Finale in Nairobi this November. They will compete against winners from Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda, carrying both personal pride and the hopes of the nation.
The takeaway from the Golf Series 2025 is clear. NCBA is more than a financial institution. It is a trusted partner, a driver of growth, and a supporter of community. Through Numbers That Matter – Maisha ni Hesabu, the bank continues to show that when ambition is guided by purpose, the results create lasting impact across Tanzania and the region
